Registration is OPEN!

Working to End Human Trafficking

By Increasing Education and Awareness Through the

Health System and Community Response

November 9-10, 2021

The Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region III Office of the Regional Director, Health Resources and Services Administration; the Eastcentral and Northeast Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center; the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, and the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania announces the third annual two-day virtual continuing education and outreach event to identify and stop human trafficking. The 2021 Summit continues the rural human trafficking collaborative with an emphasis on rural prevention, treatment, and community collaboration.

Join us to hear from human trafficking "surthrivors" and how supports and services can be realigned to effectively serve victims, including lessons learned and best practices from Pennsylvania and other states. Strategies for health care providers, health systems, and community-based organizations will be discussed to address this pervasive issue. The audience for the Summit includes community-based service groups and coalitions, health care providers, health care facility managers and leadership, law enforcement professionals, advocates, and others interested in targeting--and stopping--all human trafficking.
